Founders of Fairchild Semiconductor, circa 1960
Ed Moran started the company in 1959 when the Silicon Valley was mostly apricot orchards. As an accomplished artist with very little money to his name, he started out painting Christmas scenes at local grocery stores. Soon after, he opened a sign shop and quickly became advanced in signage design and production for early, leading Silicon Valley tech companies of the time: Fairchild Semiconductor, IBM and HP. He also established solid relationships with major developers, responsible for building out the early valley: Trammel Crow Company, Spieker Partners (now Hudson Pacific Properties) and Lincoln Property Company (now Steelwave); customers we still do business with today. In 1993, Ed’s son Danny Moran had the honor of taking ownership of the company, and is currently President & CEO. From its humble beginnings over 57 years ago, we are proud to deliver the same values that were paramount to Ed Moran’s success: consistent quality, timely service, honesty and integrity. After all of these years, Corporate Sign Systems remains the Silicon Valley’s corporate signage leader.
With 50+ years of experience in architectural signage, we have learned that having a proven process in place, is the key to delivering consistent, quality results.
